When the alarm is due to go off the clock will start to count down with an ominous tick-tock noise (think Countdown with real consequences). It gives you plenty of time to diffuse the bomb should you be alert enough but . . . if you are too slow (lazy) . . . then there will be an almighty explosive cacophany of noise that won't just wake you but probably the dead as well.
