Just like a real grenade, the Sonic Grenade is perfectly safe until you remove the safety pin and throw the grenade - a 10 second countdown then begins.
If the safety pin is not back in the grenade in this time, it will explode! OK, so it wont really explode, but it will make an ear piercing loud sound (three volume settings available) that anyone would want to run away from.
